Detectives from Argos have charged a 35-year-old man with child sex offences following an investigation into the possession and distribution of child exploitation material.
Investigators from Argos executed a search warrant in Aspley yesterday and located a mobile telephone.
It will be alleged that the man was found in possession of child exploitation material depicting the sexual abuse of children and was also active in a number of online child abuse networks.
The 35-year-old Aspley man was charged with two counts of possessing or controlling child abuse material obtained or accessed using a carriage service, seven counts of use carriage service to distribute child abuse material, three counts of solicited child abuse material by using carriage service, ten counts of use carriage service to make available, and an aggravated offence involving conduct on three or more occasions and two or more people.
The man appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today, he was remanded in custody to appear on 17 July.
