Police are investigating an armed robbery which occurred at Woolworths Supermarket in Mowbray last night.
At around 9:50pm a male youth entered the supermarket and selected a quantity of items before attempting to leave the store without paying.
When the youth was approached by supermarket staff, he produced a knife and threatened staff before fleeing on foot.
No one was injured during the incident.
The male youth is described as 12-15 years old, slim build, wearing a black jumper and glasses.
Investigations are continuing.
