Armed robbery in Truganina

Altona North Embona Task Force members are investigating an armed robbery in Truganina last month, Victoria Police say.

Investigators have been told two men were walking along Cheviot Drive about 8.25pm on 25 October when they were approached and stopped by a group of three males.

One of the males produced an unknown object and forced it against one of the victims’ necks, before forcing the pair to walk to a nearby park.

Once there, the group made threats and demanded the victims’ phones and bank cards.

The victims handed over the items and the group fled the scene.

Police have released an image and CCTV footage of three males they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The males have been described as aged in their late teens to early 20s, and of a tall height.

One of the males was wearing a black jumper and carrying a black backpack; the second had a black hoodie; and the third was wearing a white hoodie.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
