Assault Appeal, Manly

Police are appealing for public assistance, including anyone with dash camera or CCTV footage, following an assault in Manly on 9 April.

Initial investigations indicate approximately 5:10pm the driver of a Toyota Aurion sedan was travelling along Tingal Road near to the intersection with Pine Street.

The driver of a silver dual cab utility vehicle, believed to be a Mazda BT-50, then allegedly stopped in front of the Toyota, exited their vehicle and assaulted the driver.

He then returned to his vehicle and continued driving toward Oakley Street where a second altercation occurred with the Mazda driver attempting to steal a phone belonging to the Toyota driver.

He then fled towards Cambridge Parade.

Officers are appealing to any residents or drivers in the vicinity of this incident who may have CCTV footage or dash camera vision leading up to or immediately following this incident to contact police.

They are particularly interested in anyone who may have seen a silver dual cab utility vehicle driving in the area close to the incident time.

Police are also appealing for support in identifying a man who may be able to assist with inquiries. He is believed to be a Caucasian male with a slim build, light brown beard, approximately 175cm tall and potentially wearing a hi-vis work shirt.
