Astronomers to Announce Groundbreaking Result on Center of Our Galaxy at Press Conference

WHAT: The U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) will host a press conference to announce a groundbreaking Milky Way galaxy discovery from the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT).

WHEN: 9 a.m. EDT Thursday, May 12

WHERE: The National Press Club, 529 14th St N.W., Washington, D.C., 20045. The event will also be live streamed to https://nsf.gov/blackholes.

WHO: NSF's Chief Operating Officer Karen Marrongelle will deliver opening remarks. The following panel of EHT researchers will describe the scientific discovery and answer questions:
