Police have charged a man with attempted murder following investigations into an incident at Linville early this morning, 22 March.
It will be alleged about 1.20am, a 46-year-old Linville woman was assaulted by a 32-year-old Benarkin man, known to her.
It will be further alleged the man held the woman so she could not leave the residence.
The Linville woman was transported too Caboolture hospital for treatment and is receiving professional support.
The 32-year-old Benarkin man was charged with six offences, including two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed (domestic violence offence), and one count each of attempted murder (domestic violence offence), torture (domestic violence offence), and deprivation of liberty unlawfully detained (domestic violence offence).
He is expected to appear before Caboolture Magistrates Court tomorrow, 23 March.
