  • Felix Ellis Minister for Police, Fire and Emergency Management, Minister for Housing, Planning and Consumer Affairs, Minister for Skills and Training, Member for Braddon
  • Traditional industries in Tasmania are under threat from radical left-wing independents.

Minister for Skills and Training, Felix Ellis, said these independents cannot be allowed to get in the way of Tasmania's traditional industries.

"Radical left-wing independents will destroy our economy, destroy jobs and take our State backwards," Minister Ellis said.

"They want to end our traditional industries like building, agriculture, aquaculture, forestry and manufacturing.

"They stand in the way of progress at every turn and stop key projects like housing getting off the ground.

"We're reaffirming our support today for traditional industries and progress in Tasmania.

"We are backing in Master Builders Tasmania's feasibility study into a Northern Tasmania Building and Construction Training Centre through a $300,000 investment.

"We are proud to have backed the construction of the Master Builders training facility in Cambridge, which is already training hundreds of students and delivering real results.

"This election comes down to one choice: a strong Liberal team with a real plan or another merry-go-round of chaos.

"Let's finish the job for Tasmania."
