H.E. Ron O. Pinder, Ambassador-at-Large for Environmental and Educational Matters, presented The Commonwealth of The Bahamas's Country Programme Framework (CPF) for the period of 2026-2031 to Hua Liu, IAEA Deputy Director General and Head of the Department of Technical Cooperation, and signed on 15 September 2026.
A CPF is the frame of reference for the medium-term planning of technical cooperation between a Member State and the IAEA and identifies priority areas where the transfer of nuclear technology and technical cooperation resources will be directed to support national development goals.
The Commonwealth of The Bahamas has been an IAEA Member State since 2014. Its 2026-2031 CPF identifies 5 priority areas:
- Nuclear and radiation safety and nuclear security
- Food and agriculture
- Human health and nutrition
- Water and environment
- Energy and industry
