Police are urging residents in Maroochydore apartment buildings to lock up their valuables, following recent thefts targeting basement car parks.
Around 9.04pm on 6 May, it will be alleged at least two men manually opened a garage door to an underground parking space on Sixth Avenue and searched through multiple vehicles.
Nothing was taken but some property was damaged.
Following subsequent investigations, a 29-year-old Bli Bli man was arrested on 14 May and charged with two counts of enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence.
He has been remanded in custody to face Maroochydore Magistrates Court on 26 June.
At approximately 10pm on 3 May, police received reports of a break in at an apartment complex on Duporth Avenue.
Early enquiries indicate three masked suspects managed to disengage the underground garage door's automatic opening mechanism and stole an electric bike.
Police also received reports of a break in at the basement area of a residential complex on Picnic Point Esplanade around 9pm on 5 May.
Initial investigations indicate unknown suspects gained access by disabling the electronic garage door and rifled through multiple cars and storage areas, before stealing two bicycles.
Investigations into all incidents are ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact police.
