Bayside's social distancing circles

Baysiders may notice something a little different in our open spaces this weekend. Social distancing circles have been installed at a number of popular picnic and open space destinations across the municipality to remind residents to maintain physical distancing when enjoying our outdoor spaces.

With the weather warming up and the gradual easing of restrictions, it's likely that many Baysiders will be spending more time outside.

The new picnic circles are spaced at least 1.5 meters apart and designed to help our community share these spaces responsibly and safely.

You can find Bayside's social distancing circles in foreshore locations including: Middle Brighton, Ferdinando Gardens, Sandringham Beach Gardens and Black Rock Gardens.

They will also be rolling into various popular open spaces including: Picnic Point, Thomas St Reserve (non-construction area), Basterfield Park (areas near shelters and playgrounds), Landcox Park, Advantage Road Park and more.
