Bennett Springs firearm incident - arrest

Gang Crime Squad detectives have charged two men who are linked to the Comanchero Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG) as a result of their investigation into an incident in Bennett Springs where shots were fired at a home on 28 April 2021.

It is alleged about 11.40pm, several shots were fired at a home on Driftwood Way with several striking the home. No-one was injured.

Gang Crime Squad detectives with the assistance of Midland Detectives executed multiple search warrants on 30 April 2021 at homes in Bentley, Bateman and Middle Swan. Detectives seized a .44 calibre revolver.

A 31-year-old man from Middle Swan (nominee) is next due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on 21 May 2021 charged with Aggravated Burglary and Commit Offence; and Criminal Damage.

A 33-year-old man from Bentley (member) is next due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on 13 July 2021 charged with Unlawful Act or Omission with Intent to Harm.

A 25-year-old man from Koondoola (member) has been charged with Possess Unlicensed Firearm and Unlawfully Possessed a Controlled or Prescription Drug, unrelated to the Bennett Springs incident. He is due to appear before the Fremantle Magistrates Court on 28 May 2021.
