Binghamton University's Center for International Business Advancement will host the Sixth Global Trade and Investment Forum from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at Symposium Hall at the Innovative Technologies Complex, located at 45 Murray Hill Road.

The forum will focus on shifting policies and new trends in international trade. Participants will gain valuable knowledge about shifting government policies and will explore new opportunities for growth in the changing global landscape.

CIBA's Global Trade and Investment Forum is an annual venue for business executives, policy makers, and technology and academic leaders to connect and explore opportunities for regional economic growth through exports to international markets and the attraction of international investment. In its sixth year, the forum welcomes innovative thinkers and experts who will identify and outline the challenges and opportunities presented by changing trends in international trade.

This year's event will feature two keynote speakers: Robert Manogue, a representative of the Department of State and the director of the Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs; and Tomas Baert, the Head of Trade and Agriculture at the Delegation of the European Union to the United States. Also speaking at the event will be Kevin King, the New York State Deputy Commissioner for Agriculture and Markets; and James Held, the Director of Research at Empire State Development Corporation.

Participants will have the opportunity to network, learn more about global trade and engage in two panels: U.S. Manufacturers and International Trade: Innovative Strategies for Growth; and Export Insights for Agricultural and Food Producers. The discussions will be moderated by Peter Katzenstein, The Carpenter Professor of International Studies at Cornell University; Peter Koveos, The Kiebach Chair in International Business at Syracuse University; and Andrew Novakovic, The E.V. Baker Professor of Agricultural Economics at Cornell University and Committee Member of the International Dairy Federation.
