Body of missing man from Parramatta located

A body, believed to be that of a missing man, has been located during a search in Sydney's west today.

On Thursday 25 August 2022, officers from Parramatta Police Area Command commenced an investigation to locate a 27-year-old man that had been reported missing.

The matter was then referred to Campbelltown Police Area Command, who took carriage of the investigation.

Following inquiries, including a land and aerial search of the Campbelltown area, the body of a man was located in bushland near Raby about 3.30pm today (Monday 5 September 2022).

Whilst he is yet to be formally identified, the body is believed to be that of the missing man.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
