  • Services the rapidly developing urban growth corridor
  • Project completed in October 2020, supporting 66 jobs
  • The new Brabham Primary School has been officially opened by Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery today.

As one of the first major services to be built in Brabham, located in Perth's north-eastern suburbs, the $18.5 million school will sit at the heart of the community as it continues to develop.

First-class teaching facilities available at the school include an early childhood teaching block, four classroom blocks including a specialised art and science classroom and a music room.

Students and staff also have access to outstanding modern features through the library resource centre, covered assembly and canteen area, administration building, hard sports courts and a grassed oval.

The local community has played a key role in establishing the school and shaping its vision, resulting in a commitment for Brabham Primary School to provide an inclusive and culturally responsive learning environment.

Brabham Primary School will cater for students from kindergarten to Year 6, with 578 currently enrolled to start 2021.

This project was led by Universal Constructions and supported 66 jobs, with work completed in October 2020.

The suburb of Brabham was named after world Formula One racing champion Sir Jack Brabham and is located in the rapidly developing urban growth corridor in Perth's north-east.

As stated by Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery:

"I am proud to be here to officially open this fantastic new school that will benefit families within this rapidly growing area for decades to come.

"This major construction project is another McGowan Government investment helping to drive our economy and support WA jobs."

As stated by West Swan MLA Rita Saffioti:

"In 2017 we committed to building a new primary school in Brabham, which is one of the fastest growing suburbs in the State.

"I am proud that we have delivered on that promise and created an outstanding modern learning environment for our children."
