Building healthy habits for young people experiencing homelessness

YP Space Mid North Coast has purchased fitness equipment for their youth refuge to improve the mental health and wellbeing of those accessing their services in Kempsey.

Residents of the YP Space Youth Refuge in Kempsey are now able to build better habits and healthy routines with the addition of exercise equipment.

The BoostYouth program will encourage young people experiencing homelessness to add exercise to their daily routine to decrease stress, anxiety, depression and improve their mental and physical health.

YP Space Mid North Coast received a Council Community Grant to purchase the exercise equipment for their youth refuge located on Belgrave Street in Kempsey.

The next round of Council Community Grants will open in August 2022.
