Cabaret Star's Happy Hour At Shed

This is your invitation to join award-winning cabaret star Tash York and her partners-in-crime, the Red Red Wines as they celebrate life, one glass at a time, in Tash York's Happy Hour, 8pm Saturday 18 May.

Dress up and join in the festivities as these cabaret artistes welcome you into their world of raucous and rowdy fun with incredible tunes, outrageously fun cabaret and their take on the Aussie backyard classic, the Goon of Fortune.

The Trash Queen of Cabaret Tash York is determined to find out what makes us happy. Is it finishing that 3rd bottle of wine? Staying up until 3am because you don't want the night to end? Buying yet another cat? (She has 3 already you know…)

After two years lost to the global panini, Tash York's Happy Hour is set to thrill you even more than a half-price wine list. Tash unapologetically drinks a pool of wine, practices self-care, slays her insecurities, and makes the effort to make sure everyone leaves their troubles at the door.

Backed by her boozy music makers and backing singers The Red Red Wines (Peppy Smears and Vivian Fonteyn) expect powerful three- part harmonies, hilarious true stories and superlative improvised numbers.

Don't let the makeup, wigs and costumes fool you; Tash York is as bogan as they come. Celebrated with countless awards and glowing reviews, Happy Hour combines drag and cabaret in a way unlike anything you have ever seen before.

You will be in the best of hands when Tash York (think Meow Meow meets Bianca Del Rio – on a budget!) hits the black box stage at the Shed.

Tash York is the queen of Australian cabaret comedy. She's a woman in drag because she wants a man's wage. With an extraordinary voice and vocal range, and no filter on her content, there seems nothing this diva can't do. She's a comedy queen, singing sensation, and busty babe all rolled into one big bundle of fun. - GLAM ADELAIDE

With all three performers uniquely talented in their own right, the combination of the trio on a single stage is exactly what Fringe is about – eclectic, chaotic, and entirely too much – in the best possible way. - OUT in Perth

It's easy to fall in love with the obvious glee with which big-wigged/hearted cabaret host Tash York returns to the Fringe stage after two years lost to the pandemic...real showbiz skill! - The Age
