Canberra's annual SpringOUT Festival is back with a vibrant program of events celebrating diversity, inclusion, and LGBTIQA+ pride.
The raising of LGBTIQA+ flags at Civic Square today marks the official opening of this year's SpringOUT Festival as Canberra gears up for its signature Fair Day event on Saturday 31 October.
Minister for Equality Suzanne Orr said SpringOUT was one of Canberra's longest running and most important events.
"Today's flag-raising ceremony is a powerful symbol of Canberra's commitment to equality. It sends a clear message that LGBTIQA+ people are valued, respected and welcome in our community.
"SpringOUT is a celebration of the right of every Canberran to live authentically, safely, and with pride. The ACT is a place where people are free to be themselves."
The fabulous fun and family-friendly SpringOUT Fair Day returns to Glebe Park this Saturday 31 October and features local talents like Stella Eve, Jett Blyton, and more!
