CCTV released in robbery appeal - Mt Druitt

Investigators are appealing for public assistance and have released CCTV footage as they continue inquiries into an aggravated robbery in Sydney's west earlier this year.

Police have been told about 8.45am on Friday 19 August 2022, a 54-year-old man left a hotel on Mount Druitt Road, Mt Druitt, and placed a bag – containing cash – into his vehicle, before he was approached by two unknown men.

The unknown men threatened the man and demanded the bag, before fleeing on foot with the bag to a vehicle that was parked nearby.

The vehicle was last seen on Mount Druitt Road, before turning into Beames Avenue.

Officers from Mt Druitt Police Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation into the incident.

The man was taken to hospital and treated for facial injuries.

As part of inquiries, detectives have released CCTV footage of three men who they believe can assist with their investigation.

The first man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 30s, of solid build, with a brown beard.

He is depicted in the footage wearing blue long work pants, a black hooded jumper with a small white logo on the left chest and large white logo on the back, a red baseball cap and tan work boots.

The second man is described as being aged in his 30s and of solid build.

He is depicted wearing a black hooded jumper with a grey logo on the left chest and left sleeve, black pants, black gloves, and black and white sneakers.

The third man is depicted in the footage as wearing a high-visibility yellow top. He was seen driving a white SUV with a roof rack and bumper bar.
