CEU, Konstanz Launch Dual Political Science Degree

Central European University (CEU) is launching a new dual master's degree in political science in partnership with University of Konstanz, one of Germany's leading higher education institutions. The two-year program offers students the opportunity to study at two renowned institutions and graduate with two internationally recognized degrees: CEU's Master of Arts in Politics and Konstanz's Master of Arts in Politics and Public Administration.

CEU is ranked as the top university in Austria and 43rd globally in the in politics (QS World University Rankings), as well as 28th in political science (Shanghai Global Ranking). The University of Konstanz ranks number one in Germany and 11th worldwide for its politics and public administration program (Shanghai Global Ranking).

Two Years, Two Campuses, Two Degrees

The curriculum emphasizes political theory, comparative politics, and political economy, along with strong methodological training in both qualitative and quantitative research. A broad selection of electives allows students to specialize in topics such as regime change, political inequality, and governance.

The program promotes international mobility and academic excellence, ideal foundations for careers in international organizations, research institutions, NGOs, or the public sector.

Admission Requirements and Procedure

The program is open to students enrolled in CEU's two-year MA in Politics, who may apply for the dual degree during their first year of study. Each year, up to five CEU students will be selected based on academic performance and demonstrated motivation.
