Change to reporting Covid information

Jeremy Rockliff, Minister for Health

As we continue to transition to living with COVID-19, the Department of Health will change routine reporting of COVID-19 information from daily to weekly intervals from Friday 9 September.

This move has been agreed to by state and territory Health Ministers and will be applied consistently across state and territory governments.

This has also been supported by Chief Health Officers in each jurisdiction.

Information will continue to be published on the Tasmanian Government's Coronavirus website at: https://www.coronavirus.tas.gov.au/facts/tasmanian-statistics

The Department of Health will also continue to publish the Weekly COVID-19 Surveillance Report each Thursday with data in these reports related to the previous week (Monday to Sunday).

Weekly reporting will allow Tasmanians to stay informed about the level of COVID-19 in the community.

The Department of Health will continue to alert Tasmanians to any COVID-related developments of concern.

As we continue this transition to living with COVID-19, Tasmanians are encouraged to continue following the simple behaviours that reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19.
