Charges following Tullamarine road rage

Moonee Valley Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man in relation to a road rage incident in Tullamarine on Saturday 26 May, Victoria Police say.

It is alleged two women aged in their 60s were travelling along Tullamarine Freeway about 1.10pm when a truck began side swiping them.

Both vehicles turned into Blackwells Road in Wildwood and the truck driver approached the women with a hammer and a stick, damaging the vehicle and pushing one of the women down.

The 27-year-old Craigieburn man was arrested in Craigieburn tonight and has been charged with multiple offences including conduct endangering life, threats to kill and assault with a weapon.

He has been remanded to appear in Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
