Charges following warrants executed in Melbourne's east

Croydon Divisional Tasking Unit officers executed four warrants in Melbourne’s east yesterday (9 October) following an ongoing investigation, Victoria Police say.

Warrants were executed at four addresses in Southam Road, Taggerty; Maurice Road, Gruyere; Warburton Highway, Lilydale; and MacQuarie Place, Boronia.

Three men and a woman were arrested after a number of firearms and weapons were located.

A 34-year-old Gruyere man has been charged with a range of offences, including trafficking methyl amphetamine, trafficking firearms and prohibited person possess firearms.

He was remanded to appear at Ringwood Magistrates’ Court today.

A 60-year-old Gruyere man, 22-year-old Gruyere woman and 39-year-old Lilydale man have been released pending further enquiries.

The investigation is ongoing.
