Christina Lau, Assistant General Counsel II at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, has been named a 2026 Up & Coming Lawyer by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly as part of its annual Excellence in the Law Awards. The award recognizes Massachusetts attorneys who have been members of the bar for 10 years or less and have already distinguished themselves for excellence.
Lau is currently Assistant General Counsel II at Dana-Farber, where she serves as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to colleagues throughout the organization. She advises on a wide range of subject matters, including complex litigation and pre-litigation disputes, risk management, marketing and communications, research integrity and patient nondiscrimination. She guides colleagues in navigating complex legal and ethical issues and to advance Dana-Farber's mission of reducing the burden of cancer worldwide.
Lau is also deeply committed to professional development and community engagement. She is the Community Advocacy Lead on Dana-Farber's Mosaic Leadership Team, an employee resource group celebrating and contributing to the cultural and racial diversity of the Dana-Farber community, supporting an inclusive and welcoming environment. She leads the Office of General Counsel's law school internship program, and serves on the Boston Bar Association's Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Steering Committee.
Previously, Lau was a Senior Associate in the Intellectual Property and Complex Trial & Appellate Litigation practice groups at Choate, Hall & Stewart, and served as a Special Assistant District Attorney at the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office.
Lau is a graduate of Boston University and Boston University School of Law.
Lau will be honored at the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly Excellence in the Law event in Boston on March 24.
