Comanchero member arrested, South Australia

Yesterday South Australia Police arrested a 26-year-old Andrews Farm man in relation to the discharge of a shotgun at an Ingle Farm home on Thursday, 23 June 2022.

The member of the Comanchero Outlaw Motorcycle Gang was charged with discharging a firearm. He was refused police bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrate's Court today.

This morning police arrested a 27-year-old Craigmore woman who was charged with aided a person to commit an offence, and failure to answer questions. Bail was refused and she will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court this afternoon.

Detective Chief Inspector David Huddy, of the Crime Gangs Task Force said police attended the Barunga Avenue, Ingle Farm property after reports of gunshots from a member of the public at 7:30pm on 23 June. There police found damage to the door, window, a garage roller door and located a shotgun casing.

"Thankfully no one was injured in the June incident. However, this shows just how dangerous and violent members of Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs (OMCG) are and their disregard for public safety," said Chief Inspector Huddy.

"Our investigations are continuing and we are not ruling out further offenders involved in this shooting."

Police are yet to locate the firearm used in the Ingle Farm shooting and are asking the public with any information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, and you can remain anonymous.

"Our investigations are moving quickly and despite the arrest yesterday, the Crime Gangs Task Force are continuing the search for the firearm and the driver of a silver Ford Focus who may have assisted with this crime," Chief Inspector Huddy said.

"If anyone has any information about the whereabouts of this gun, I encourage you to contact police too so you do not end up being a secondary victim of this crime."

Chief Inspector Huddy said police have recently seen an increase in OMCG activity between the Hells Angels and the Comanchero, with a second shooting at Munno Para West over the weekend – this is still under investigation.

"Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs are an ever present threat to the community and police will take every opportunity to arrest, disable and dismantle the gangs and their criminal enterprises.

"In the past few weeks we have made arrests of two Hells Angels members who were found unlawfully in possession of firearms and ammunition and in breach of firearms prohibition orders. We will continue to work tirelessly to prevent this behaviour in our community."
