The popular Community Arts Exhibition is returning to the Central Goldfields Art Gallery and we're calling on local artists to contribute.

The exhibition will be open to the public from Thursday 3 December to Sunday 20 December – which coincides with the re-opening of the Central Goldfields Art Gallery to the public, following the easing of government restrictions.

Community members are asked to bring in their artwork to the Central Goldfields Art Gallery from Friday 27November through to Sunday 29 November between 10am and 4pm.

Submissions forms are available at www.centralgoldfields.vic.gov.au/communityart2020 or hard copies are available at the Visitor Information Centre, the Maryborough Craft Shop or the Central Goldfields Visitor Centre. If you would like a form posted to you, please phone 0438 367 094.

Any type of art/and or craft is able to be entered into the exhibition and all residents, including primary and secondary school students, in the Central Goldfields Shire and Avoca region are welcome to take part.

Primary and secondary students from all schools within the Central Goldfields Shire and Avoca can also enter our craft competition. Maryborough Craft Shop has generously sponsored the prizes –1st $50, 2nd $30 and 3rd $20 for youth participants.

Visitors are also encouraged to vote in the popular People's Choice Award.

Central Goldfields Shire Administrator Hugh Delahunty encouraged residents to enter their work in the popular exhibition.

"The Community Art and Craft exhibition is an annual highlight on our calendar. If you are experienced in a certain art and craft or are just starting out, I encourage you to enter your creations to this wonderful exhibition," he said.
