  • New building to be completed in October
  • The first works on a new early childhood classroom block are underway at Eaton Primary School.

The $3 million construction began late last month and will include three new classrooms, office spaces, student, staff and universal access toilets and other facilities.

Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery and Collie-Preston MLA Mick Murray visited the site today.

The new building is expected to be completed by the end of October this year.

It will replace four demountable buildings and will open to a large natural and landscaped play area for the students.

As stated by Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery:

"These new classrooms will benefit young students and cater for the increase in enrolments at Eaton Primary School.

"This early childhood classroom block is part of the McGowan Government's significant investment to build and improve Western Australian public schools."

As stated by Collie-Preston MLA Mick Murray:

"These new facilities will be an outstanding addition to Eaton Primary School and will provide our future generation with the best possible start to their education.

"This multimillion dollar upgrade will ensure the young families of Eaton have access to first class learning facilities as the area continues to grow.

"We want our local students to have every opportunity to achieve their very best, so I am pleased to be able to deliver on this election commitment."
