Cops smash crop houses in Geelong

Four people were arrested and more than 300 cannabis plants were allegedly seized after warrants were executed in Geelong yesterday, Victoria Police say.

Geelong Divisional Response Unit officers executed warrants at residential properties believed to be linked at Norlane, Winchelsea and Teesdale about 10.30am.

Cannabis plants were located inside the set-ups and power supply allegedly bypassed at all three properties.

Three men and a woman, all from Norlane, were arrested.

A 60-year-old man was charged and bailed with traffick a commercial quantity drug of dependence, theft and drug related offences.

Two men aged 39 and 36 have also been charged with traffick a commercial quantity drug of dependence, theft and drug related offences.

They have been remanded in custody to appear at the Geelong Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

A 60-year-old woman was released pending further enquiries.
