He conceives and then sews/weaves/creates fabulous outfits for fellow students, each customized to express the distinctive personality of the individual for whom it is designed. Victor recently hosted a nighttime fashion show, complete with music, lights, and food, at which a group of students modeled the fashions Victor designed for them, strutting up a catwalk and posing on stage for photographers. He pairs this artistic commitment with a love of athletics, serving as a leader in Franklin Intramurals and excelling as a runner, including a win at this year's Iris 5K. John brings verve, idealism, and a genuine enthusiasm to everything he does, making him a fitting recipient of this award."

He's an Economics major who brings the humanistic "verve and enthusiasm" that the prize celebrates to all he does: whether he's researching techno-industrial policy and semi-conductors, coaching fellow Yalies as an MMA instructor, or working closely with a musician on another continent, Brandon takes his love of music, performance, and the arts wherever he goes. At Yale he's also thought deeply about foreign policy and international relations: he lends his voice to debates about global connection and cooperation while also using it to bring joy to audiences around the world with the Whiffs."
