COVID-19 DETECT Snapshot testing available in Midland

COVID-19 DETECT Snapshot testing is underway in Midland, with three sites available for eligible people in the City of Swan.

The State Government's two-week DETECT Snapshot program allows healthcare workers, WA Police staff, meat workers, supermarket and retail staff, and hospitality workers who are asymptomatic to undergo a swab test for COVID-19 from Thursday May 28 to Wednesday June 10, 2020.

The DETECT Snapshot testing blitz will provide a better understanding of any COVID-19 that may be in the community and has not been detected.

Participation is voluntary and open to adults who work in the identified groups, selected mainly for their frequent interaction with the public during COVID-19 or where documented outbreaks have occurred in other jurisdictions.

You can get tested at the following locations in Midland:

  • Clinipath Pathology's testing bus at Midland Gate shopping centre between 8am-5pm Monday to Friday, and 11am-5pm on Sundays and the June 1 public holiday. The bus is at The Crescent carpark, near the rooftop parking entrance, adjacent to the Transperth bus stop and NAB.
  • Western Diagnostic Pathology's Drive through clinic at the Stafford Street Carpark in Midland. Open between 8am-12pm, Mondays to Saturdays.
  • COVID clinic at St John of God Midland Hospital. Located on Yelverton Drive and open between 10am-6pm daily.

Testing arrangements for everyone else remains the same - anyone with fever, history of fever, or respiratory symptoms including shortness of breath, cough and/or sore throat should be tested at a designated COVID-19 clinic.
