Highlighting the schedule is musician Warren H Williams supported by national icon Kasey Chambers, in a performance dedicated to cultural preservation.

The Finocchiaro CLP government remains focused on putting the Northern Territory on the map as the destination for arts and culture.

The Finocchiaro CLP Government is proud to announce the Araluen Arts Centre's 2026 program is in full swing, delivering a vibrant calendar of exhibitions, performances, and events that bring the Alice Springs region to life.

Minister for Arts Jinson Charls visited the Araluen Arts Centre recently to view the latest exhibitions and expressed his excitement for the season ahead.

"The Araluen Arts Centre 2026 program is delivering a spectacular line up of events in the Red Centre.

"Showcasing world-renowned local talent provides both residents and tourists with a lasting experience while revitalising the lifestyle of Territorians in Central Australia," said Mr Charls.

The visual arts program recently commenced with Sally Mumford: Thirty-six views of Mparntwe. This exhibition explores the intricate relationship between the township and the ancient ranges that define Alice Springs.

Artist Sally Mumford expressed her pride in launching her exhibition.

"From just about any position in the township of Mparntwe, you only have to look out to see ranges and hills. They are significant to the town's cultural identity. They hold and connect us deeply to place."

Taking stage later this year is Australian country music legend and Indigenous icon Warren H Williams. Who will bring his powerful new show Under Wermar (Are You Listening?) to the Araluen stage.

Featuring special guests Kasey Chambers and Shane Nicholson, the performance showcases Williams' first full studio album recorded in the Western Arrernte language.

Mr Williams will be performing this impactful project aimed at preserving language and strengthening cultural understanding.

"Are you Listening is the most important album of my career. It's about sharing language, culture and story, and bringing people together through music" he said.

The program has launched and audiences can look forward to a full year of theatre, dance, comedy, film festivals, community events, and major exhibitions. Later in the year popular annual exhibitions Desert Mob 2026 and the Vincent Lingiari Art Award 2026 will also return.
