Dashcam appeal after pedestrian injured in multi-vehicle crash - East Ryde

Police are appealing for information and dashcam vision after a pedestrian was injured in a multi-vehicle crash at East Ryde this morning.

About 10.15am (Saturday 2 January 2021), emergency services were called to Pittwater Road, near Bronhill Avenue, following reports a Toyota Camry hit several parked vehicles and rolled.

A 27-year-old male pedestrian standing in between a parked Toyota Corolla and Mazda CX7 was impacted as a result of the crash.

Members of the public assisted the man before emergency services arrived and he was treated at the scene.

He was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital with serious leg injuries.

The Toyota driver, an 86-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries and was also taken to hospital, where she underwent mandatory testing.

Officers from the Crash Investigation Unit attended and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Anyone with dashcam vision or who may have witnessed the crash and not yet spoken to police is urged to come forward.
