Financial Crimes Squad detectives are appealing for public assistance as they investigate two alleged arson attacks on the Central Coast.
About 4.30am on Wednesday 21 January 2026, emergency services were called to a business on The Entrance Road, Erina, following reports of a fire at a Pilates studio.
Fire and Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the blaze; however, the business sustained significant damage. No injuries were reported.
Officers attached to Brisbane Water Police District established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the incident.
About 5.15am, emergency services were called to a Pilates studio on Enterprise Drive, Berkely Vale, following reports of a second fire.
Fire and Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the blaze, with the studio also sustaining significant damage. No injuries were reported.
Officers attached to Tuggerah Lakes Police District established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the incident.
A short time later, emergency services were called to Cobbs Road, Mardi, where a burnt-out sedan was located.
The fires are being treated as suspicious, with initial inquiries suggest the incidents are linked.
Local police commenced inquiries before the investigation was taken over by the State Crime Command's Financial Crimes Squad's Arson Unit under Strike Force Fredonia.
As inquiries continue, strike force detective have released CCTV of two vehicles and a person they are seeking to identify to assist with their investigation.
It shows a white Mitsubishi SUV and black Subaru Impreza near the Pilates studio at The Entrance Road, Erina.
A short time later, a person dressed in a black hoodie and brown pants is seen exiting the Impreza with a hammer and jerry can.
The person can then be seen allegedly breaking into the studio before dousing it with fuel, setting it alight and leaving the scene.
Inquiries under Strike Force Fredonia continue.
