"It is irresponsible for NSW Premier Perrottet to state that Covid vaccines dont stop covid transmission because there is clear evidence that covid vaccines reduce serious illness and nasal Covid viral loads in patients infected with Covid and this will reduce the likelihood of transmission'said Dr Robert Marr OAM GP and President of NSW Doctors Reform Society
"It is sad to see Premier Perrottet appearing to try to win a few cheap anti vaxer votes in the upcoming march NSW state election by making irresponsible statements about covid vaccines that may undermine peoples confidence in covid vaccines and thus reduce the over all number of people vaccinated in NSW" said Dr Marr
"There is an urgent need for more people in NSW to receive the 5th covid vaccine booster before the onset of winter and yet Mr Perrottet has undermined the good work of health professionals in NSW Health by his irresponsible statements'said Dr Marr
