Driver loses licence after being caught more than 50km/h over limit, South Australia

A driver has been fined and lost his licence after being caught speeding at Keith.

Just after 7pm on Tuesday 26 November, police detected a silver Hyundai sedan travelling at 167km/h in a 110km/h zone along the Dukes Highway. Police did not pursue the car but followed from a distance until locating it and the driver in Coomandook.

The driver, a 29-year-old man from Rostrevor was fined $1718 for speeding and issued with an immediate six month loss of licence.

This is the same stretch of road where a driver lost his life the day before.
