Drug warrant in Sydenham

The shockwaves from Operation Ironside continue to reverberate throughout the criminal community with detectives from the Illicit Firearms Unit and officers from Australian Federal Police executing a warrant in Sydenham this morning.

Information form Ironside lead officers to a Contursi Drive address to execute a drugs and firearms warrant about 10am this morning.

A 24-year-old Sydenham man attended the address and was taken into police custody and a search commenced.

Officers searched the premises and it is alleged they found 6.5 kilograms of cannabis, over 100 grams of assorted drugs in tablet and powder form along with a conducted energy device and over $250,000 in cash.

The 24-year-old is currently assisting police with their enquires.
