Drugs And Weapon Charges, Bellmere And Burpengary

Officers from the Moreton District Tactical Crime Squad have charged three men and seized a firearm and drugs following separate investigations at Bellmere and Burpengary East yesterday, 1 July.

Officers executed a search warrant at a Colburn Way, Bellmere address on 1 July, where they allegedly located quantities of cocaine, MDMA, Cannabis and other drugs.

Two men who were located at the residence were arrested.

A 19-year-old Bellmere man was charged with three counts of dangerous drugs, and one count each of possessing anything for use in the commission of crime, possess property suspected of having been acquired for the purpose of committing a drug offence, and possess property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence.

He is due to appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court today, 2 July.

A 21-year-old Bellmere man was charged with three counts of possessing dangerous drugs.

He is due to appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court on 30 July.

In an unrelated matter, officers executed a search warrant at a Henderson Road, Burpengary address, where it is alleged a shotgun and ammunition were located.

A 63-year-old Burpengary man, who was at the property, was charged with one count each of unlawful possession of weapons, and authority required to possess explosives (ammunition).

He was issued a notice to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on 27 July.
