We have maintained our strong position in the National Student Survey (NSS). For the third year in a row, "overall satisfaction" scores placed us in the top 20% of both non-specialist and Russell Group universities.

Particularly noteworthy were scores in two important NSS domains: "teaching on my course" and "organisation and management." The University also saw a significant increase in students reporting that library resources supported their learning. Alan Houston, the University's Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education), said that "this reflects the exceptional skill and dedication of our staff, both inside and outside the classroom, even more so given the challenging times."

Even better to come

Now we want to do even better, which is why we are investing even further in:

  • New and improved teaching and learning facilities and technologies
  • Our Collegiate accommodation
  • Our student support services
