Hot on the heels of the critically acclaimed Durham University Student Theatre production of Hello Dollly!, The Durham Revue present Comedyfest, at the Gala Theatre on Sunday February 19.

The Durham Revue are the University's award-winning sketch comedy troupe, and they will be performing alongside Cambridge Footlights and the Leeds Tealights.

These groups combined have launched the careers of many famous faces including Olivia Colman, Ed Gamble, Stephen Fry, Emma Thompson, Nish Kumar, Ambika Mod, Miriam Margolyes and many more.

This year, as they work towards their charity goal, Durham Revue will donate £1 of each ticket sale to the Durham Branch of The Trussell Trust who provide emergency food and support to those locked in poverty.

The show has received some great reviews in previous years:

'The evening was what comedy is all about. The atmosphere in the theatre was fun, light-hearted, and energetic, and the audience left utterly satisfied' The Bubble

'ComedyFest was a show humming with electricity, energy and endlessly entertaining performances' Palatinate
