ELaw co-organized International Conference on Privacy-friendly and Trustworthy Technology for Society

Eduard Fosch-Villaronga, Assistant Professor at eLaw, co-organized together with Aurelia Tamò-Larrieux, Christoph Lutz, Anton Fedesov, and Anto Čartolovni the GoodBrother International Conference on Privacy-friendly and Trustworthy Technology for Society on June 28, 2022 in Zagreb, Croatia.

The conference aimed to advance the knowledge on critical ethical concepts such as privacy, trust, and transparency of (AAL) technologies, contributing particularly by extending emerging concepts and themes such as privacy-by-design, overtrust, transparency-by-design, and personalized transparency. The organizers invited 16 presenters to discuss their interdisciplinary approaches spanning the social sciences, legal scholarship, ethics, and research in computing and engineering.

The extended abstracts presented can be found on the conference website and the recordings of the keynote speakers, Prof. Dr. Esther Keymolen (Tilburg University) and Associate Prof. Dr. Jaap-Henk Hoepman (Radboud University), as well as the sessions Technology Meets (Privacy) Law, Ethics, and Society; Privacy and Trust Perceptions; and Social Issues and Contextualized Questions can be found on the YouTube channel of the Catholic University of Croatia.
