Equitable use of Wilson Recreation Reserve

Brighton Grammar School will continue to have use of the sportsground at Wilson Recreation Reserve in Brighton for school rugby with two training sessions and one Saturday match per week between 1 April and 30 September.

Council supports all schools, including Brighton Grammar, in the important role they play in the Bayside community and provides access to sportsgrounds to support healthy and active sports participation.

We will be encouraging other local schools to book Wilson Recreation Reserve for the purposes of school sport.

The decision regarding Brighton Grammar's use of the reserve also follows community engagement on the future use of the reserve and feedback from local residents on the need to balance active and passive recreational use of the open space.
