We are excited to share the progress on the new multipurpose facility at Fairpark Reserve, Ferntree Gully that will be shared by U3A, Fairpark Football Club, Johnson Park Cricket Club and Fairpark Netball Club.
The steel structure is up and the building is now starting to take shape. We anticipate it will be completed mid-2023, subject to weather.
The design for this new community facility has been developed through extensive consultation with the key club stakeholders.
This project is funded by club contributions and grants from
- the Australian Government's Community Development program
- Cricket Australia
- AFL Victoria
- Knox City Council
Other upgrades to Fairpark Reserve include:
- refurbishment of the existing U3A building
- increased car parking and landscaping
- artwork within the reserve
- removal of the existing sports pavilion
- netball court renewal works
- net cricket training facility
