Firearms charges laid near Murray Downs, NSW

A man has been charged with intimidation and firearm offences on the state’s south, NSW Police say.

On Thursday 8 November 2018, a 29-year-old woman attended Hay Police Station and told police a man working on a property at Dilpurra had allegedly sent threatening text messages to her.

Officers from Murray River Police District attended a property on Balranald Road at Dilpurra, near Murray Downs and seized a firearm before arresting a 52-year-old man and taking him to Barham Police Station.

He has been charged with possess unregistered firearm, not keep firearm safely, and stalk/intimidate intend physical etc harm.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Deniliquin Local Court Tuesday 4 December 2018.
