Flinders University is now the only AACSB-accredited business school in South Australia, placing it among less than 6 per cent of business schools worldwide to achieve the prestigious accreditation.

Widely recognised as a mark of excellence in business education, AACSB accreditation demonstrates Flinders' commitment to high-quality, industry-connected education and rigorous international standards.
Flinders Business School joins 1,102 institutions across 71 countries and territories with AACSB accreditation in business. It positions Flinders Business School for its next phase of growth, strengthening industry partnerships, building global connections and delivering education designed to address real-world business challenges.
The international Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) is the largest business education network and global standard-setting body for business education.
"AACSB accreditation recognises the strength of Flinders Business School and our commitment to high-quality, industry-connected business education," says Professor Michael Gilding, Vice-President and Executive Dean of the College of Business, Creative Arts, Law and Social Sciences at Flinders University.
"It benchmarks our students learning against internationally recognised standards and gives industry partners confidence in the graduates, research and partnerships we deliver against real-world business challenges. This milestone reflects our progress in building a contemporary business school with strong industry connections and global relevance."
"We are proud to join a globally recognised community committed to making a positive impact through education, research and engagement."
The accreditation also recognises the school's commitment to innovation, including the launch of Australia's first MBA focused on AI strategy and leadership earlier this year.
AACSB-accredited schools have successfully undergone a rigorous review process conducted by their peers in the business education community, ensuring that they have the resources, credentials, and commitment needed to provide students with a first-rate, future-focused business education.
Flinders University Professor Angie Abdel Shafei, the Dean of Business, says the accreditation provides a strong foundation on which the school can continue to grow.
"Accreditation is not a finish line; it is a beginning," she says. "It sets a standard we hold ourselves to every year and a platform to keep raising the bar. That is the kind of school we want to be."
"Our next chapter is about building on this foundation: extending the reach of a Flinders business education through national and international partnerships and preparing our graduates for the future of work in a rapidly changing and dynamic world."
Ms Stephanie M Bryant, the Executive Vice-President and Chief Accreditation Officer of AACSB, says: "AACSB accreditation recognises institutions that have demonstrated a focus on excellence in all areas, including teaching, research, curriculum development, and student learning."
She congratulated Flinders University and Professor Michael Gilding on earning accreditation "and applaud the entire team, including the administration, faculty, staff, and students, for their roles in earning this respected honor."
"Flinders University's commitment to earning accreditation is a true reflection of their dedication-not only to their students, alumni network, and greater business community, but to the higher education industry as a whole," says Ms Bryant.
"Today's students are tomorrow's business leaders, and the addition of Flinders University to the network of AACSB-accredited business schools will have a lasting positive impact for their institution, both locally and globally."
Established in 1916, AACSB International has more than 1000 accredited business schools worldwide and aims to foster engagement, accelerate innovation, as well as amplify impact in business education.
