Food Lab cooks up another season

Elise Archer,Minister for the Arts

Today in Devonport I was delighted to visit the studio set of television show Food Lab 3, less than two weeks before the new season is broadcast nationally.

The Hodgman Liberal Government, through Screen Tasmania, invested $73,000 in the third season of this innovative show, following the $85,000 investment we made in the previous season.

Hosted by Tasmania's own celebrity chef Ben Milbourne, along with co-host and physicist Joel Gilmore and a range of experts from the University of Queensland, Food Lab aims to help audiences become better cooks through learning about the science behind food.

The cast and crew, which includes 12 Tasmanians, have been busy shooting the 65 episodes for Food Lab 3 both in the studio and across Tasmania, showcasing the wonderful produce and locations our State has to offer.

The first episode of Food Lab 3 airs on SBS Food on Monday, 18 March 2019.
