The Crisafulli Government is delivering for Logan with key infrastructure commitments across health, housing, justice and safety, and transport infrastructure in the 2025–26 Budget.
Logan will also benefit from the Crisafulli Government's $100 Back to School Boost, the $200 Play On! Sports Vouchers Program, more frontline health workers, more police on the beat and new social and community housing.
The 2025-26 Budget lays the foundation for the fresh start Queenslanders voted for, addressing Labor's youth crime, health, housing and cost of living crises.
The Budget focuses on making Queensland safer, delivering a place to call home for more Queenslanders, driving down cost of living pressures for families, providing more free healthcare and building generational infrastructure for our growing State.
Under the new Hospital Rescue Plan that will restore health services for when you need them most, $874.7 million has been allocated to the Logan Hospital expansion (Stage 2).
This will deliver a clinical services building with 112 new beds and additional surgical capacity, acute care and support services and additional car parking to be constructed.
The Logan community will also benefit from more health workers with additional funding in 2025–26 to grow the workforce to 17,779 (FTE) across the Metro South Hospital and Health Service.
The Logan community will benefit from allocated investment of $52.1 million to expand and improve social and community housing in Logan, delivering 172 social homes in construction or under contract and are working towards the delivery of 53,500 social and community homes by 2044, in partnership with the Australian Government.
As part of our statewide initiatives that are making Queensland safer, the Logan police facility will receive a vital $76 million upgrade, and two new Youth Justice Schools will be established with $40 million of funding for high-risk teens.
Over the next year, $600 million will be invested into the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project, to unlock faster rail and additional trains for Logan and the Gold Coast.
The 2025–26 funding investment of $300 million from the Queensland Government and $300 million from the Commonwealth Government unlocks pre-construction works for the coming year.
The project will see the number of tracks between Kuraby and Beenleigh doubled from two to four, significantly improving service frequency and reliability for commuters.
It also includes the removal of five level crossings, upgrading stations, and improving access and connectivity along the 20-kilometre project corridor.
This is a key investment that will support the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games as will a $5.6 million upgrade to the Cornubia Park Sport Precinct as part of the Games On! Grassroots Infrastructure Program.
Premier David Crisafulli said the Budget delivered the foundation for a fresh start for Logan, just as promised.
"Today's Budget delivers the fresh start Queensland needs and Queenslanders voted for, to address the crises in youth crime, health, housing and cost of living," Premier Crisafulli said.
"We are delivering to restore safety where you live, health services when you need them, a better lifestyle through a stronger economy and a plan for Queensland's future.
"This Budget delivers cost of living relief with the $100 Back to School Boost and the $200 Play On! Sports Vouchers Program, a fully-funded Hospital Rescue Plan, a new nation-leading home ownership program to reduce the deposit gap, as well more police and early intervention to make Queensland safer."
