Sunshine Coast detectives today charged a man with grievous bodily harm following investigations into an alleged assault on May 29.
The 29-year-old Baringa local has been denied police bail and remanded in custody to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court tomorrow (June 4) where he also faces several drug related offences.
It will be alleged a 44-year-old Baringa man sustained critical head injuries following an altercation with a male cyclist on Baringa Drive, Baringa at around 11.45pm last Saturday.
He was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after allegedly being hit once in the head and falling over, striking his head on the concrete path.
