Arson Squad detectives are seeking information regarding a building fire in Geraldton yesterday afternoon, Monday 25 January 2021.
About 4:20pm officers on patrol noticed smoke coming from the second floor of a building on Marine Terrace. The building is heritage listed and houses a theatre and restaurant. The Department of Fire and Emergency Services attended the scene and extinguished the fire.
Arson Squad detectives from Perth attended the scene of the fire today and commenced an investigation into its cause.
Detectives would like to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the vicinity of the building yesterday afternoon.

Rewards of up to $50,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
