The Crisafulli Government has completed $12.5 million in capital works upgrades at the Gold Coast Recreation Precinct on Tallebudgera Creek, strengthening one of Queensland's premier high-performance and community sport facilities.
The project includes three new fully inclusive and accessible accommodation blocks providing 96 additional beds, a new outdoor gym adjoining the existing indoor facility, and an expanded car park to support increased utilisation.
Gym membership has grown to approximately 740 users from just over 500 last year, and the new accommodation has already begun welcoming school and sporting groups.
Repair works to the swimming pool area are also underway and is on track to be completed well before the next summer season.

Minister for Sport and Racing and Minister for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tim Mander said the upgrades at the Gold Coast Recreation Precinct would deliver lasting benefits for athletes and the wider community.
"Today we're seeing $12.5 million of investment delivered right here on the Gold Coast, positively impacting local athletes and their development," Minister Mander said.
"As we move toward the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, our sports facilities, like the Gold Coast Recreation Precinct, will play an increasingly important role in athlete preparation, training camps and regional participation.
"We are delivering a Games for all of Queensland and the legacy of 2032 isn't just about major stadiums, it's about strengthening facilities that serve communities every day."
Member for Burleigh Hermann Vorster said the local community would benefit enormously from the new facilities.
"The Crisafulli Government is delivering first-class facilities to encourage more members of the Gold Coast community to be active and healthy," Mr Vorster said.
"The Gold Coast Recreation Precinct is already well-loved and well-used, and the gym extension and improved accessibility will help deliver even greater health and wellbeing outcomes for our community."
