Grants to help Territory Youth get on Right Track

The Territory Labor Government has opened applications for the Alcohol and Other Drugs Youth Grants Program to support organisations working to prevent youth substance abuse in the Northern Territory.

Individual grants of up to $20,000 are available for community projects or initiatives aimed at preventing youth substance abuse across the Territory.

Over $270,000 is available to be awarded in the 2022 - 2023 funding round.

This year is the seventh round of the AOD Youth Grants Program. To date, approximately $1.62 million has been provided through almost 100 projects to help minimise harm associated with the use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs across the Territory.

Grants will be awarded to projects, programs and initiatives that support young people to:

Focus on healing and strengthen connection to cultureDevelop skills and learnAccess healthy choices and activitiesBuild resilience through sporting, cultural or community eventsBe educated about the risks of misusing alcohol and drugs.

All NT based community groups, non-government organisations, local councils, sole traders and partnerships are eligible to apply. Applications close at the end of August 2022.
