Hearing Explores Health, Robotics, Space in Advanced Manufacturing

House of Representatives

Health, robotics and space are three sectors to be examined tomorrow by the House Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Resources as part of its inquiry into developing advanced manufacturing in Australia.

Stakeholders will share their views on key issues affecting the growth of advanced manufacturing development in Australia relating to health, robotics and space. Representatives from the different sectors will discuss what is needed to enable the growth of advanced manufacturing, financial and non-financial investment opportunities and their worker and skills needs.

''The Committee looks forward to hearing stakeholders' insights into how the Commonwealth Government can better support the growth of advanced manufacturing in Australia. The growth of advanced manufacturing is vital to our future industry and any changes that we recommend must be informed by industry'', said Committee Chair, Mr Rob Mitchell MP.

The public hearing will be held on 25 July 2023 at 9:00 am at the Royal on the Park Hotel, Brisbane. It will be audio broadcast on the Parliament's website aph.gov.au/live.
